Happy Independence day! After the blast we had last year creating our all-American pin up shoot we decided that we would make it a Kiss or Kill tradition to create classically patriotic shoots for every 4th of July! This year we took our American pin up theme to the beach where we splashed in the sea and ran with the ocean breeze!
The classic American pin up has a very distinct style in makeup. Veronica didn't want to have the exact same look as last year so she decided to add a flair of that 4th of July sparkle. She used a glitter eye liner on top of the classic black winged liner and an iridescent light blue glitter to the center of the lid pressed on top of a shimmering white shadow. To add a dazzle of fun she applied a patriotic single red star rhinestone below one eye on each of them. The makeups were finished off with the one staple every pin up girl needs, especially on the 4th of July; Red lipstick (of course!) ;)
The hair was a playful vintage style perfect for this beach style shoot that was accented with blue head scarves with an independence day rose hair clip that Veronica made for this shoot.
Samantha is huge admirer of pin up fashion so putting together an outfit for this shoot was a joy and as simple as a piece of all American cherry pie! Both girls are paired in darling high waisted shorts with an obvious patriotic color scheme and if you look closely you will find silver and red bedazzled star appliques on each side of the girls shorts. For the tops Veronica sports a true red peek a boo crop top with more bedazzled stars, and Samantha a white halter with white and blue bedazzled appliques. For accessories they were kept classic and simple with pearl necklaces and earrings. As an added pinup flare we bejeweled red and white garters and polka dot fans as props.
