Mistress of Mardi Gras

Bonjour!

Since Mardi Gras was a part of this month we decided to design a look that embodies the festive event!
We wanted to create something elegant and fun with a CLASSIC Kiss or Kill dark twist ;D

Designing the makeup was very exciting since Veronica wanted to make our model Roya look as if she was wearing a mask. She decided to go with a traditional choice of Mardi Gras colors; green, purple, and gold! She really wanted to bring out the the classic details of the masks and prints of Mardi Gras in a neck/chest piece.
For the ensemble Samantha went thrifting and found a perfect black velvet boat neck dress. To bring it up to Mardi Gras level she hand stitched gathers sporadically along the front and back of the dress. She also added store bought beads for a theatrical effect along the skirt and and sleeves of the dress. As for accessories, Samantha added black lace gloves and the shoes are Roya's own from American Apparel.

Hope you all are having a wonderful month! Stay tuned for our St.Patrick's Day look! Don't forget to follow us on Instagram for extra behind the scenes access!
Au Revoir!
