Vintage Valentine

Hello to you all!
This month The Kiss or Kill is bringing you Valentines day in a retro kind of way! Not only that but Cupid struck double for this shoot! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate this holiday than with a vintage pin up double date shoot! Enjoy!!!

To create an authentic retro look Samantha paired herself and Veronica in polka dotted A-line dresses from her new favorite pin up style boutique Varga! She accented the dresses with t-straps for herself and darling white flats for Veronica. She stuck with traditional pearl sets for the jewelry for this look. She dressed the guys in classic black dress shirts and vests paired with ties to match their ladies ensembles. To give this look a modern flare Samantha had Mikey sport a black denim pant with lace up boots and Tyler in blue jeans and black Clarks.

The pin up style and the era from which it blossomed has a very distinct makeup look and Veronica wanted to stay true to that for this shoot. Nothing says "Pin-Up" like a dramatic winged liner and a vibrant red lip. She emphasized the eye crease using warm browns and mixed a little red shadow in with the browns to add a pop of valentine fun! The cheeks were accented with a beautiful hot pink blush and highlighted with several shimmery powders to add a luminous glow. The look was finished off with an adorably festive heart beauty mark under both of their right eyes. Keeping with the retro romantic theme Veronica styled the hair with a vintage bump in front, loose elegant curls, and added in red rose hair combs she made for this shoot! She kept it simple with the men doing some basic male grooming. Mikey's hair was styled into a man bun giving his look a modern twist while Tyler's hair was slicked to resemble classic greaser hair.  A red lip mark was put on Mikey's neck to represent "Kiss" and the word "Kill" was painted on Tyler's neck to correspond the men with their blogging female counter parts that make up The Kiss or Kill!

We hope you all have a romantic and happy Valentines day! If you are unsure of how to celebrate perhaps slipping into some retro threads and dolling yourself up like a pin up is a good start! Traditional dates like going to a diner and sharing a milk shake or visiting a drive in can be fun and creative ways to spend your day with that special someone! We hope this shoot has given you inspiration on how to stylize your outfits for your Valentines Day!
A huge thank you to our charming and wonderful boyfriends for participating in this shoot with us and to our dear friend Nathan Flowers for capturing these precious moments!

Until next time
XOXO,
Samantha&Veronica
