La Sirena Etéreo

We greet you with great excitement as we present to you our newest and definitely most exciting post to hit the front page of The Kiss or Kill yet! This project has been in our minds for several months and the time was finally right to bring our visions to fruition. The further we dive into the depths of our creativity the more ethereal and surreal this whole experience and our concepts become. We couldn't be happier to be pursuing our passions and artistry together and sharing it with all of you. We were lucky enough to have our beautiful friend that embodies all that is mystical and enchanting by the name of Roya Backlund model for this shoot, and we are so pleased with how she brought our ideas SPLASHING off the page. ;)

It is with so much eccentricity in our hearts that we present to you our very own take on the age old Mermaid. 

Turning Roya into a "Sultry Siren" came quite naturally since her exotic and striking features lend themselves so gracefully to this high fantasy mermaid concept. The goal was to incorporate elements and a color palette that tie themselves closely to traditional mermaid qualities. Veronica was also inspired heavily by art nouveau styled sirens and wanted to represent this style of art through the arm band she painted on Roya's arm. The hair was no work of Veronica's since we were lucky enough to have a model with natural "Mermaid Hair" but it was embellished with a small hair piece made by Veronica of a cluster of seashells. 

This outfit was personally designed and made by Samantha, she crafted the tail to Roya's measurements and embellished a basic black bra to achieve an aquatic sparkle.  

Overall this look was intended to be that of a classic mermaid with some subtle hints of darkness to bring our creation closer to the tales one might read of these enchanting yet devious creatures. We hope our depiction of the classic mythical creature that is the Mermaid has truly delighted you! As a whole we have never been more proud of a Kiss or Kill creation!
